For those of you who have been pushing to remove the monuments in our country...

If you do actually have jobs, should take your ass to work today.  They can dress it up all they want by calling it "Presidents Day", but in reality it's just George Washington's Birthday!  (article continued below)

Hate to ruin it for you...

That's right...  George Washington, the first President and yes, as was typical for men in his position at the time, a slave owner.  He actually was a slave owner for 56 years (starting at the age of 11) but struggled with the concept.  He spoke frequently about his desire to end slavery.  At the end of his life, he actually freed the slaves he owned.

Of course, nobody here thinks slavery was right.  And we of course, think that slavery was a terrible thing.  But it's still part of our history.

So, why would anybody want those monuments taken down?  No matter your race, you should want to make sure that generations way beyond ours never forget what a terrible thing it was.

But if you are still one of those people demanding that every monument to slave owners of the past should be taken down...  start with giving up your money and go to work today, because it's not Presidents Day...  It's George Washington's Birthday!  Just a guess... if you are one of those people, you probably don't have a job in the first place.
